Who we help
We're here to help homeless adults and those who are experiencing difficulty with their accommodation and particularly rough sleepers. We aim to provide a warm, friendly and welcoming environment and offer basic necessities such as food, shelter, showers, clothing and sleeping bags.
Our weekday Drop In forms the heart of our service and is the gateway to all our other services. We open five days a week, with breakfast and lunch being served each weekday and access to the different services described below. Our weekend and evening service is not currently available.
What we do
As well as providing for their basic needs, clients are also assessed and signposted to our other services. For example health services provided by our partner agencies include*:
- Primary Care Nursing Clinics twice a week
- Access to a formal Mental Health Triage surgery once a week
- A weekly Eye Clinic provided by "Vision Care for the Homeless" Charity
- Podiatrist (foot and ankle specialist)
- Sexual Health Clinic weekly
- Alcohol and Substance misuse support
- Psychological Well being advice
- Mental health team referrals
We also provide: emergency support for anyone made homeless or about to be made homeless; welfare rights and benefits support and advice; and social support.
There are always experienced staff on hand to offer advice, guidance, support and signposting. To ensure we offer the best support possible, anyone new to our service will be able to have an informal chat with a staff member to identify their immediate needs.
*Please telephone in advance where possible to check that the services you need are available on the day.
