Central to the ethos of SIFA Fireside is the provision of a clean, warm, welcoming space for the people that need our support.
The provision of warm, nourishing food is a key factor in creating this. All of the meals served are cooked and served by volunteers. These individuals and corporate teams are happy to give from a day a year to several days a week to help others.
Much of the food is donated by other individuals, families, schools or organisations that want to help. So many people give so much of their time and good-will to help provide a welcoming environment for the homeless people we provide for.
The staff at SIFA Fireside also work hard to provide that warm and welcoming environment where clients can address the issues that impinge on their lives. Working in different roles funded by a variety of contracts and grants the staff provide professional support with wider aspects of life, giving advice and support with accommodation issues, form filling, health and well-being and so much more.
