SIFA Fireside works with partner agencies to address the needs of homeless and vulnerably housed people in Birmingham. The access point for all our services is the Drop In Centre where we provide a warm welcome and can direct people to appropriate services.
The Homeless Prevention and Welfare Service for adults in Birmingham is central to Birmingham City Council's provision for homeless people. Alongside the services offered by SIFA Fireside each day Shelter's emergency accommodation team is based at the Drop In five days a week. This team works to help homeless people find somewhere temporary to stay and to get off the streets.
Changing Lives funded by the Big Lottery provide a range of advice and activities to support people as they work towards making lasting changes to their lives. Examples of these changes include moving from a hostel to a tenancy or looking for work and all that entails.
The Changing Futures project employs a small, highly skilled team to work with people who have multiple and complex needs and who aren't accessing services.
Partnership agencies work alongside our staff to provide health and well-being services to our clients.
