Carole Wildman

A Non-Executive Director, Trustee and Mentor. Carole has 38 years’ experience of work in the Social Housing Sector and retired in April 2016. Her last 20 years at work were spent as an Executive Director for Regeneration. She is passionate about assisting people and communities to become empowered through education, training, work and active citizenship. She is also chair of the Pioneer Group, a community led social housing provider in north Birmingham.
Martin Molloy 
Company Secretary

Martin was previously a Trustee of the Birmingham Irish Association and its Treasurer for several years.  His 32-year Civil Service career was primarily in urban regeneration, both as West Midlands Policy Lead on a range of Government initiatives and also as Head of Corporate Services and Communications at flagship regeneration programmes in Castle Vale and Kings Norton. As Assistant Director at the Government Office for the West Midlands his main responsibilities were for corporate governance and finance.   
Fraser Battye

Fraser Battye has 20 years of experience providing analysis and advice to improve public policy. He works in the NHS for the Strategy Unit, where he helps organisations and initiatives use evidence to achieve better results for the people they serve. Fraser cares deeply about reducing health inequalities; the work he is proudest of has helped to do this. 
Marcia Springer

Marcia is a communications specialist, currently working for the Prince’s Trust. She has worked in the voluntary and public sectors and was Senior Communications Manager for the MAC (Midlands Art Centre). She is also on the board of governors for a school in Birmingham.

Sr Jude Bogie

Sr Jude is a sister of the Sisters of St. Paul. She was one of the founders of The Fireside Charity when it began in 1980. She has worked with vulnerable people throughout her life and was headteacher at schools across the UK before retiring. She was also on the board of the Princethorpe Multi Academy Trust.

Sr Jude is a permanent trustee as one of our founders.

Dave Ollier
Dave had an extensive career in teaching and has supported the provision of key support services at SIFA Fireside for many years.  Dave has extensive experience of mutual aid and is a keen advocate for ensuring clients' voices are always present around the board table.  Dave enjoys working on his allotment in his spare time. 

Heather Schreiner

Heather has spent over 45 years in the teaching profession ultimately working with vulnerable teenagers with multiple learning difficulties in Birmingham. Now retired Heather is working with agencies including day centres for adults with learning difficulties and  Gloucester AgeUK. She has written strategic plans for local education authorities to deliver Government guidelines on 'Disability Access and Inclusion' at local level  She is a Fellow of The Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts Manufactures and Commerce.  
Martin Chidgey

A former Head teacher and voluntary sector Chief Executive Martin has nearly 20 years experience in the voluntary sector working with organisations that support vulnerable people and their families. Before becoming a trustee Martin was Company Secretary and prior to that had worked in partnership with SIFA Fireside in the delivery of Criminal Justice services. He was also heavily involved in  the implementation of the staff training and development programme at SIFA Fireside.  

Glen Bate
Glen is a marketing and communications specialist. He has worked in management positions across the commercial sector for over 15 years. He offers expertise in our marketing and profiling, including in online and digital techniques.
