Reporting to: Senior Project Worker – Resettlement Team
Contract: 12-month fixed term with possible extension
Location: 48-52 Allcock Street, Birmingham B9 4DY.
Hours: 16 - 21 per week
Salary: £ 17, 290 pa (pro-rata)

The Peer Mentor will work across SIFA Fireside service areas: crisis support, recovery and prevention. ASH and Resettlement teams to support homeless and vulnerably housed adults and clients with complex needs on their journey from crisis to more settled life. This role has a particular focus on supporting individuals who are first, second and third generation Irish; as well as clients from central and eastern Europe and those who have no recourse to public funds. Therefore, we strongly encourage applications from individuals who are Irish or with Irish heritage. The aim is to prevent and relieve rough sleeping among this group through structured activities and increased engagement. The Peer Mentor will actively work with Project Workers support clients to access the services that they need and remove barriers from employability. The Peer Mentor will work with individuals and support group activities.
