The Changing Lives Project provides a flexible approach to help our clients access education, training, employment and volunteering opportunities. This project is mainly funded by the Big Lottery's Reaching Communities programme.

  • We offer a range of workshops around employability that include CV writing and interview techniques.
  • We address wider issues by offering workshops around budgeting, IT skills and healthy eating.
  • At different times we run drama and art groups and other activities include a film club, football and a boxercise class.
  • There is a weekly Job Club called Future Steps where clients can look for jobs online, create universal job match accounts, e-mail addresses and get support to complete job applications.
  • Clients who access Changing Lives services are able to benefit from one-to-one advice and mentoring.
  • We also operate an outreach service to local hostels and other organisations.
  • Support to sustain tenancies to prevent further homelessness, funded by Lloyds Bank Foundation.
  • Client Forum - we have a forum that meets monthly where clients can feed back their views on our services. The Client Forum also chooses a Client Committee, which takes part in recruitment and other organisational activities
