What does the training cover?
Focus in detail on the areas of safeguarding, professional boundaries and confidentiality and the responsibilities of both employers and employees in ensuring high standards of practice in these areas are maintained.
This training is primarily designed for those working with adults (as opposed to child care or youth work).
The training will include the following:
- What are boundaries?
- Difference between personal and professional boundaries
- What is safeguarding?
- Those most at risk of abuse
- Types of abuse
- Safeguarding action
- Confidentiality and Consent
- Breaching confidentiality
Who is this training aimed at?
Anyone supporting vulnerable adults who wish to ensure that the care and support they offer promotes and maintains the safety and wellbeing of their client/ service user group
Those who work in the health or social care setting are required at all times to act in such a way that they safeguard and promote the health, wellbeing and safety of those in their care or in need of their services.
Professional boundaries, safeguarding and confidentiality are fundamental to ensuring client/ service user safety and wellbeing, as well as providing a good practice framework to guide and protect employees.
