bWell

The bWell programme is an exciting project that SIFA Fireside started in July 2008 funded by the Health and Well Being Partnership. The project works in Birmingham's 11 most deprived wards, running a variety of different activities which enhance people's health and well being. The project is run by two of our staff team, Kevin Davy and Marie Dennehy, who are dedicated to offering a variety of activities such as:

  • healthy eating on a budget
  • art courses
  • music lessons
  • access to gym facilities
  • sexual health information
  • managing stress courses
  • acupuncture
  • indoor Olympics (table football, table tennis etc)
  • discussion groups
  • football training
  • City Streets newsletter production
  • performance arts

The wards covered by the programme are Aston, Bordesley Green, Kingstanding, Ladywood, Lozells & East Handsworth, Nechells, Shard End, Soho, Sparkbrook, Kings Norton and Washwood Heath.
