Changing Lives

paul 11Changing Lives offer a practical approach to prevent re-offending by increasing skills and confidence. Funding is provided by the Big Lottery until March 2017.

We are an enthusiastic team with a flexible approach providing support and advice in Education, Training, Employment and Volunteering.

We provide a range of workshops around employability including CV writing and interview techniques.  We also address the wider issues by offering workshops around budgeting and IT skills and healthy eating. Additionally we run drama and art groups as a way of team building.

Other activities include Open Cinema, football and a boxercise classes.

We run a weekly Job Club called Future Steps at SIFA Fireside where clients can look for jobs online, create universal job match accounts, e-mail addresses and get support from staff in completing application forms.

Clients who are accessing Changing Lives services are also able to benefit from counselling and mentoring from our fully qualified counsellor.

The Changing Lives team operates an outreach service to local hostels and organisations, providing support out in the community.

The team comprises: Lynn Evans (Resettlement & Move On Manager), Janet Codling and Jackie Moore (Project Workers) and Paramjit Kaur (Support Worker).
