Aston Villa visits SIFA Fireside and hosts sponsored sleepout

by admin on 24 March 2016

Five of Aston Villa’s up and coming academy players visited SIFA Fireside and volunteered, serving hot meals to over 100 homeless people.  Jordan Cox, Rushian Hepburn Murphy, Jake Humphries, Harvey Knibbs, and Kelsey Mooney all helped out at the centre, and were very impressed with the facilities and services available to homeless people, and the scale of the support offered.

Aston Villa is hosting a sponsored event, Business Sleepout at Villa Park, on 14th April, to raise funds in aid of homelessness projects across Birmingham, including SIFA Fireside.  Ravinder Masih, Head of Aston Villa Foundation, said: “There are still a few weeks until the sleepout takes place, so please get involved and join other business and civic leaders at Villa Park on 14th April to help make a real difference to people in our city.”
