Vision Care for Homeless People (VCHP)

by admin on 8 February 2016

vchIf you know anyone who needs glasses, please think about suggesting they use the VCHP Clinic at SIFA Fireside. VCHP is a charity set up to provide eye care services to homeless and vulnerable people in an accessible and friendly environment in which they feel safe, welcome and comfortable.

The eye tests and any glasses needed are completely free of charge, with up to date frames donated by high street opticians. The eye examination by professional optometrists includes checking for glaucoma, cataracts and other eye conditions, and is also a very good overall health check.

The Clinic is held every Monday from 9am to 1pm, with no appointments needed, just ask at the Help Desk or at the Clinic, which is held in the Nurse’s room.
