Staff at Costa Coffee at Grand Central, Birmingham will be holding their own Fancy Dress days every Saturday in February 2016 to encourage donations and support for SIFA Fireside. As well as this, they will be volunteering to prepare and serve food here at our Drop-in centre in Digbeth – a task they are very familiar with but in a rather different backdrop.
We are thrilled to have the chance to meet with their team and have them volunteering here to directly support our clients during our busy breakfast and lunch sessions. It also gives them the opportunity to meet and speak with our clients and is a great way to understand some of the issues people face and the services that SIFA Fireside delivers.
“SIFA Fireside provides an amazing and vital service to adults who are faced with really challenging circumstances here in Birmingham, and we have chosen to support them because we want to help vulnerable adults in our Community and out team feel strongly that we can help make a difference” Malika Ben Kahla, Costa Coffee
Support from business helps us to continue to fund and deliver our much needed drop-in centre and services based at Allcock Street, Digbeth, where we work with some of Birmingham’s most vulnerable adults; people who are homeless or vulnerably housed.
They hope to make this a long-term relationship and are already looking at other ways they can get involved through fundraising, donations, team challenges, volunteering and professional support. Thanks you to all the team at Costa Coffee at Grand Central, Birmingham and to Costa Coffee for encouraging and supporting staff involvement in their local community.
