We’re delighted to announce that we’ve been selected as one of John Lewis Birmingham’s first Community Matters charities (from now until Christmas) and we were excited to be invited to the store opening in the new Grand Central and amazed by the size of the event and the press attention!
As well as SIFA Fireside John Lewis has chosen Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Birmingham Trees for Life; to support us you’ll need to visit the store and ask for a token, (no purchase necessary), then put your token in the SIFA Fireside box. The boxes are located by the café and by the online purchases collection.
John Lewis Birmingham opened its doors to customers for the first time at 10.00am on 24th September, as the anchor tenant of the new Grand Central retail development, located above New Street Station.
To open the new shop, Lisa Williams cut the ribbon alongside the first three local causes John Lewis
Birmingham will support as part of its charitable giving scheme, Community Matters – Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, homelessness charity SIFA Fireside and Birmingham Trees for Life.
