‘Out of the Woodwork’ Needs You!

ooWould you be interested in Volunteering with a Social Enterprise that provides work placements for vulnerable people with a history of homelessness and social exclusion?

Can you give hands on support to our clients learning woodwork furniture renovation skills?

“Out of the Woodwork” is a Social Enterprise furniture restoration and upcycling project connected to homelessness and social exclusion targeting charity SIFA Fireside. Six clients from SIFA Fireside will be on ‘work placement’ at OOTW for periods of 12 weeks.

The OOTW Volunteers will work alongside the clients on work placements assisting with the work they are carrying out as well as with the general running of the workshop.

Key Task Descriptors:

  1. Supporting the clients
  1. Setting up and clearing away
  1. Dependent on skill set there could be specific duties such as marketing or accounts assistance.

When?

Monday, Wednesday and /or Friday

9.15am – 3pm

How much time do you need?

We would like you to commit to a minimum of 1 day per week for 12 weeks so that each client ‘cohort’ has the same volunteer working with them. You are welcome to sign up for the following 12 weeks if you would like to!
