Birmingham Changing Futures Together is part of a national BIG Lottery funded programme.
Shelter, in partnership with SIFA Fireside and Birmingham Mind, has been awarded funding by Birmingham Voluntary Services Council (BVSC) to deliver the Lead Worker and Peer Mentor Service. Our service has been designed to provide intensive support to individuals who have previously disengaged with services in Birmingham and who have multiple and complex needs across:
- Mental Health
- Substance Misuse
- Offending behaviour
The service is focused on ‘hard to reach’ individuals, and our team is made up of four skilled and empathic Lead Workers who will each take responsibility for a small case load of clients, supported by Peer Mentors who have first-hand experience of using services. The team will be based at SIFA Fireside and also carry out outreach work, working closely with the teams at Shelter and Birmingham Mind.
