SIFA Fireside was pleased to host a visit from the Dept of Communities and Local Government on December 10th where the work done with street drinkers and rough sleepers in Moseley was highlighted. It’s been a real multi-agency effort including the police and Fire Service, Councillors and Council employees, Trading Standards, and voluntary agencies such as Aquarius and Midland Heart as well as ourselves. The visitors also saw a mini production from Loud Mouth Theatre Company about young people and drinking.
Partnership work in Moseley has really paid off, making it a safer and more pleasant place for residents and businesses, and credit is
due in particular to Andy Tipper, Hall Green’s Area Manager, for overall coordination of the project, and to Beth Wood, SIFA Fireside’s Mental Health Link Worker, who was seconded to Moseley CAP for three months.
