Our 30th Anniversary Celebration was held on Thursday 4th October, and was well attended by staff, past and present volunteers, and by many of the various agencies and
companies that we work with. Entertainment was provided in many forms, including live music from our service user band, and there was a drama performance from Community Vibe. Our friends at Crisis had put together a video presentation of service users describing what SIFA Fireside means to them, which many people found very thought provoking. Speeches were made by our Chair, Hayward Osborne, and our CEO Cath Gilliver, and we were also delighted to welcome Councillor Steve Bedser who spoke about how important our work is in the present economic climate. The evening was rounded off by a delicious buffet and an outstanding performance by The Choir With No Name. We would like to thank everyone who attended and to everyone who helped with the preparations and on the night. We look forward to the next 30 years of supporting vulnerable adults in Birmingham!
